Managing Teaching Assistants
You can add / remove teaching assistants for your course. Besides, you can also configure your teaching assistants' access to student records.
Add new teaching assistants
Follow these steps to Add new teaching assistants:
Step 1:
Go to the People tab on the course's main page and click Edit located at the bottom of the Teaching Assistants section.
Step 2:
Enter the Illiac id (Email address) of the new teaching assistants. They will be notified when they sign in to Harmonia(R) dashboard. Before that, their names (if they already have an Illiac ID) or email address (if they don't have an Illiac ID yet) will appear in the Teaching Assistants section of the People tab with the label [pending] followed.
Remove Teaching Assistants
You can remove your teaching assistants or pending T.A. invitations through the same Edit button you click to add new teaching assistants. Notice that this action cannot be undone. If you accidentally remove them, you need to invite them again and wait for the acceptance of the invitation.
Configure T.A.'s access to student records
In order for your TAs to see the student records, you need to assign students to their sections.
In the People tab of your course, click the TA Sections button. This brings you to a table. Each row of the table represents a student and each column a teaching assistant. To give access of a certain student's records to a TA, check the checkbox where their representing row and column intersect.
Once done with the checking, be sure to click Submit Change to save the change.
